    • Cleverness is a pejorative term applied mostly to enemies.
    • Facts that don’t fit the theory may need changing.
    • God’s blessing is greatest when one combines, as far as possible, one’s inner striving with ones trade.
    • Life: There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
    • Mathematical laws applied to reality, are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not apply to reality.
    • Research would not be called re-search if we knew what we were looking for.
    • Secrets are the stock in trade of a strong defense.
    • Speech can never be free, but its absence is not free either.
    • Symphonic compositions are more than variations of wave pressure, which is part of their scientific description. Note: There is a point at which science has no meaning.
    • Teachings should be seen valued gifts, not hard tasks.
    • Time properly defined, is when you sit with a nice girl for two hours, it seems like two minutes, but when you sit on a hot stove for two minutes, it seems like two hours.
    • Truth can sometimes be in-elegant, crude, rude, and hard to swallow.
    • War is best prevented by preparation for war.
    • World: The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is at all comprehensible.
